ABOUT THE WORK:
The gentle look of this lion inspired its title. The look of a suitor.
I don't know why but this work touches me. I kept it to myself for quite a while.
I worked the background of this work with mortar, gold leaf as an undercoat, and spray paint.
Several of the lion's whiskers are made of pure silver.
The lion's mane and fur are particularly textured.
