ABOUT THE WORK:

This textured canvas has a deep symbolic representation for me.

A butterfly lands on the only flower with a planted stem, a symbol of stability and anchoring. For the butterfly, this flower is its fortress, its refuge, its safe point of attachment. Around them extends a paradise of freedom and infinite pleasures. The butterfly can venture there with complete confidence, knowing that its beloved flower is there, ready to welcome it. It is with her that he finds his fulfillment, his strength, and his most beautiful expression. He flourishes with her.

I see many other things in this work, but I do not want to impose all my interpretations. This is the beauty of art: everyone has their own perception.

The flowers are very textured and the butterfly is edged with pure silver leaves. The white background discreetly hides lines of white flowers, in tone on tone.
